Iver Johnson 1911 lower assemblies

Has anyone had a chance to check them out? They look good on the web site, but......

Iver Johnson Arms

And their prices seem reasonable.

If I were going to build a 1911, I wouldn't pick Iver Johnson as my base, especially with that many Iver Johnson components. If it were a completely stripped frame, maybe...and that's a big maybe. To many other options that I would consider to be superior. Just my two cents...

On the site, they say they have nothing to do with the old Iver Johnson.
I had a chance to look at one of their M-1 carbines in .22. On the receiver is a "Made in Germany" mark. The carbine seemed to be decently made.
