Default Ithaca 1911A1

My first USGI 1911, made in 1944 and shipped to the Benicia Ordnance depot, Army Point, CA on 8/29/44.

I have a real fondness for the Ithaca M1911A1's.

My Dad's M1911A1 Ithaca that went from Normandy 1944 to Dachau 1945;

Wow I'm jealous. I want my dad's colt that he inherited from his dad, it has a serial in the 500's. Is it wrong that I wish I could get it a little early, since we don't get along?
