Default Just couldn't help myself.

I have been wanting a Ruger for a while now. But I have never seen one on the shelf for sale...until today. I have seen several at IDPA matches. The guys using them like them. I did see one guy break the front sight off his. Not sure how. Well I was in Cabelas looking around and they had 5! Yes I said 5! 3 were Commander length. They had one that was a brand new but had a tiny scratch by the ejection port. They wanted $649.00 for it. I found my wife as she came out of the ladies room. When I told her about it she asked why I didn't buy it? I said we really didn't have the money. She said yes we do. Then she said it would be gone by Christmas. What a woman! I put 100 rounds through it a few minutes ago. It shoots great. And boy is it Purdy! Now I just have to get an ambi-safety as I am a lefty.

I want to save up for an STI Ranger II. The Spartan IV might be something you would consider. They have a great reputation. It doesn't come with an ambidextrous safety, but you might be able to order it.
