It took me 51 years to pick up my first Colt, still looking for the next one.

I always remind my wife that she can have lots of fun on the cash she gets from selling my guns after I kick the bucket.

Congrats on your scores.

Default Shot the Colt

I was finally able to get the colt combat commander xse pistol out for a little shooting at the end of the day.

All of my shooting was from 10 and 15 yards,I was only able to get out and shot 75 rounds before the sun started setting.

I shot various 45 acp loads through the colt, some defensive loads, but mainly some 200 gr. semi wad cutter target loads. The pistol preformed and functioned flawlessly with any type 45 acp ammo I fed it. The hotter defensive loads in the commander with the steel frame were very low recoiling and very controllable for quick and accurate follow up shots. The Colt gobbled every 200 gr. semi wad cutter target load, with absolutely no recoil? Felt recoil seemed like a 22 pistol, non existent.

After only getting to run 75 rounds last night, there's not one thing I would want to change about the pistol.
The Colt Combat Commander xse is definitely a keeper

If your woman is anything like mine she has to have some worthless collection. Mine has well over $1000 worth of purses sitting in the closet. When she gives me lip about buying a gun (doesn't happen anymore) I tell her to stfu. Until she can profit off of her stupid purses or sell 1 for that matter, she can't say a damn thing.

mm13,

I hear ya,I'm sure my Mrs.MOshooter has a few collections that won't hold value lol and that's my defense on the firearms, that I won't lose money on a gun. It still working.

We ALL need to get our priorities in order.

Jack's going great, thanks for asking. Mom and son, and dad, are holed up in the hospital for a couple more days. Although momma or I do leave for a couple hours during the day for various reasons. I could easily go home if I wanted to. Not sure why I'd want to. My boy's here, so I'll be here. He's healthy and doing well, they're just keeping him for observation.

Default Range Report

I finally took enough time from slingin' brass , to post a range report in the range report section.
