You've obviously never fired or even handled a Sig X series pistol. They are hand fit by real Germans in Germany. I have an X-5 along with other high end custom 1911s (Brown, Wilson). The X series quality is as nice or nicer than my custom 1911s. Plus it's insanely accurate to shoot.

The OP made a wise choice in ditching the MIMber for a true masterpiece, the Sig X series.

Well I made it out to the range again today and this time I bought back the evidence of how well this pistol shoots plus I may have contributed a lil as well.

At 15 yards this is what I did with a fresh target with my last mag of 8 for the day. I think it would be a little better if it had some type of dot system, because it gets hard to focus on a particular spot on a black target but I managed.......lol

It also may be a little birthday luck.....lol

Listen up noob's, kimber has over-reached their production quality capabilities.

I have much respect for the 'mid-life" kimber but they have traded Q is Job 1 for production volume.

Much like Taurus, they have had a paradigm shift from quality to the greed of production volume.

This is a case study in corporation growing pains. It is covered in great detail in Business 101.

If we ignore the past, we are destined to relive it in the future.

I agree that may be why Sig's 1911 is having such a strong following right now. Its New and its made like its supose to be, functioning flawlessly out the box.

I couldnt agree with you more, I just got a sig tac ops with a tb and I love it. First clip out the box I had to change targets cause I took out the center...and that was from 15 meters. Never loved anything likei do this firearm. And I think I got a great deal 920 otd.
