I Got a Fever, and the only Prescription is..
more 1911's.
I was thinking of getting this but was unsure of the price tag. I figure this would be the place to find out, what to offer or start my haggling at, the asking price is $749 as can be seen on the tag.
So what does the gallery think.
I want to break the fever not the bank.

Springfield??
Hogue grips, so it's used. How many rounds thru it? Night sights? Can I assume full length guide rod? After market grips, aftermarket trigger job?
IF it's a loaded Springer. And IF it doesn't have a million rounds through it.
I am not that upset about that price. $700 cash, right now, would be a really good deal in my book.....

I'd look for a private party sale. That $700 and change includes the dealer's cut. A private sale may net a similar piece for $75-$100 less. One forum member was lucky enough to pick up a lightly used Nighthawk for the price that they're asking for that pistol.

The company has been purchased and re-established with new (read: modern) machining.
Read the Gunblast test; If your needs and desires point towards a compact 1911-type pistol then I would recommend the Detonics Combat Master to your attention. The factory literature points out and I agree that it is…”not a bargain alternative to the traditional 1911-style semi-automatic, Detonics is the logical refinement.” William Bell
