*sigh*
Here's a really, REALLY dumb question. What is that sticking out of the back of the guns? It looks like something right above the grip safety and right below the slide. Please, don't laugh at me. Both guns have it but I don't believe I've ever seen that before. __________________ Honor Student: School of Hard Knocks

True, whatever you got must be catching. I bought a Kimber Ultra Carry II this afternoon. __________________ Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) - a system of government where those least capable of leadership are elected by those least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to succeed or provide for themselves are rewarded with goods and services paid for by wealth confiscated from a diminishing number of people who actually work and produce.

I am familiar with the beavertail safety. I had a chance to shoot Hunter Joe's 1911 and it had a beavertail safety grip.
I see now it was the skeleton hammer I had never seen before.
Thank you so much for answering my questions. I know I can get pesty but I don't know how else to learn.
Since I got into guns so late in my life I don't think there's EVER a chance I will ever know all that you guys know since you all started learning about guns as kids. But I'm learning whenever and however I can. __________________ Honor Student: School of Hard Knocks

Not all of us learned about guns as a kid. On the other hand, that does not make one any more educated in firearms, than one who did. __________________ Jack

^ I agree with that!
It is great that a site like this is around, for everyone to share what they know, and so that we all may learn something. __________________ SGT U.S. Army Special Operations (2002-2006)

No need to feel dumb brother, the only stupid question is the one that you dont ask. I would never degrade someone for asking a question, no matter how simple it seems to me.. Nobody knows everything....maybe except cane, that man knows every damn thing about everything.much respect for cane :-) __________________ Semper paratus.....virtute et armis |
