Default I Almost Hated Doing This

But I like CT laser grips so much. I went from this:

To this.

I mean I loved that wood. But laser grips make it so I can do this!

And besides that, the all black look isn't half bad just by itself. Gonna keep them wood grips though. Who knows if/when I get another 1911!

56,

The bottom line is personal preference. Sure for show looks the Woods are great! But the Black adds the chicks dig it cool Tactical Look to the pistol. And obviously the other issue is improved speed, accuracy and performance as far as the grips and the laser and how it performs for you! It certainly does not look bad at all with the Laser Grips. I had pachmayr grips on several of my duty guns over the years. Did they look beautiful? NO! But the grip's feel and stability of the weapons improved SO! There they were! Unless I am mistaken it looks like you are doing very well using the Laser Grips in reference to the targets in the pictures. Looks good as well!

That is a hard one. On one hand, it looks much better with the wood grips, but the pachmyr does give you some great groups. Also, is it me or is the slide on that gun really long?

I'm a wood fan pretty much all the way. Don't care for lasers either. But each to his own and all is good. You picked an excellent pistol for sure. STI makes some great guns and long slides are sure fun to shoot. Enjoy it, shoot the hell out of, and you can always put the wood grips back on at anytime since you are keeping them.

Helps explain the popularity of GLOCK's... I mean heck... Aesthetics are not much of a concern with Gastons Tupperware!

Nice 1911... And who knows... There may be an open carry BBQ in your future so hold onto them purrrrty grips.

I go with the pachmyr look. If the laser is accurate, then you have a winner.
Plus, the laser gives you quicker target acquisition.
