The post is for hunting moose with a 45 acp, and you are suggesting RBCD. That is a home defense round they do not make a hunting round for that caliber. And even at that a .223/5.56 is not sufficient for big game like that. So your argument is irrelevant.

I am pretty fond of a 30/06. If I was lucky enough to draw a tag for a moose I wouldn't even bring my 30/06. I would rent or borrow a weapon from the guide I hired to take me to a moose. Since I have done all my hunting in the southern US I know as much about moose habits as I do the habits of martians. On my own the only way I would kill a moose is to hit with an 18 wheeler on the highway.
