Default hump and bump?

At the risk of sounding uneducated i must ask,why are the low pro sights on a 1911 called hump and bump sights?i see u guys call them that often.Please enlighten me.thanks....steven

Look at it from the side the rear looks like a bump the front a hump.

Personal defense guns dont need sights jmb knew that when he made the 1911. The small sights are there for taking that rare aimed shot with a combat handgun. If you got time to aim the simple lopro sights are all you need.

I wish my new model series70 sights were a lot lower profile or not there at all. Less to hang up on crap
