Very nice grips.
Thanks for pointing that out! Safety was off to rack the slide and clear the chamber. When I unload to disassemble, I just don't bother to reengage the safety until I've reassembled and reloaded. Treat every gun as if it were loaded! But I personally cleared it, and on the other side of the table is my little amigo who put his eyes on it too, just to make sure daddy ain't already getting senile!

In that case, save some of the wood you used on mine! It'd be cool as hell to have matching grips on my r51!

I'll have to order more. That's not a cheap wood by any means, so they don't send a lot of extra.

That's not a problem though.

Before you do that I would like to see how the r51 looks before and after your custom grips.

If I don't like it I don't want you ordering wood unnecessarily.

My wife and I went to the gun show today. I spent the $10 to get us in. But then nothing really caught my eye. I am pretty picky these days. But then I saw these grips. They were marked $50. Which is not a bad price. I thought about it. But I have a hard time parting with my money. Tina walked up and saw me looking at them. Next thing I know she has talked the guy into taking $40. And she paid for them. She gave them to me as a gift. Pretty nice, don't you think?
