It's in the 1911 sub-section, but I would think this would be a good spot for your photos. I appreciate the level of difficulty involved with making revolver grips. That's no small feat!
Yeah I didn't even look at the subsection before I posted, I'm sorry. And yeah the level of difficulty is up there. Poplar isn't the softest wood, and I'm sticking to basic hand tools with my pocketknife, a home made chisel tip knife, and a cheap stanley rasp.
Trip, start a thread for your grip making project. Include photos and details. It will make a great "How To" thread for future reference.

Wow, this thread is still going? I forgot my password here, and didn't get it figured out until tonight.
I've gotten knee deep into Ivory since I was here last. Even got one of the US's premier legal Ivory suppliers hand selecting sections for me.
