That's amboyna burl and probably the most exotic wood in the world. Some will say that snakewood is, but in my opinion snakewood doesn't have near the beauty of amboyna. Amboyna is used for interior trim pieces on Bentley and Rolls Royce vehicles if that tells you anything about how exotic it is!

They're not as exotic as most of the ones shown here, but they're personalized and on all ten of my 1911s.

I find these inexpensive poly stocks make for a striking pose with little investment.

My R1 and Ultimate Equipment M1911 folder in "Tuxedo" attire.
