Default High Standard 1911?

Anybody own one, what's your opinion on them? My local LGS has one for around 450 bucks and I was wondering if it would be a good deal?

Thanks

450?

Sounds too good to be true...

AFAIK, Hi-Standard is a well made pistol.

I've got two of them. (not 1911s)

In a time when any Turkish, Brazilian, or Philippine 1911

gets 550$+, I can only wonder what is wrong with

this gun.

As far as I know the High Standard was brand new. Let me recheck that price tomorrow, I looked at a couple of Rock Islands and the High Standard, I know it was under 500 bucks, I'm bad about getting numbers jumbled.

Armscor makes both the RIA and the High Standard.

Gator is right. High Standard is just another name Armscor uses. sounds like a good price.

there are a couple of members who have the the High Standards and have nothing but good things to say about them.

meh? i'd jump on it like a duck on a junebug!

I had one, sold it. Miss it every day. Definitely worth the money. I think I got mine used for 400? Too long ago and I've slept since them
