Default High capacity 1911/2011

I have been thinking about a high capacity 1911/2011 in 9mm.

The Rock Island Armory is nice and the best price of course. It also gets good reviews.

The Para Ordnance is very nice. However the reviews are a little spotty.

The STI Spartan is definitely a top shelf pistol, but I don't know if I want to put down $2000 for it......

So, any opinions or suggestions?

Sti Spartans run about 700 last time I checked, you may be thinking of their Trojan model? Those are kind of pricey I believe

The STI 2011 hi-cap models can be a little pricey, but man they are nice. I have the Eagle, Edge, VIP, and Tactical. If looking for a hi-cap 1911, STI should be on your shopping list. Ever since the introduction of the Edge in the late 90's, designed to be a competition pistol, the STI 2011 platform has been a dominant force in IPSC and USPSA open and limited division competition. As an added bonus they are U.S. made right in Georgetown, TX. My experience with STI has been outstanding. Excellent company, superb quality, great people, and customer service that can't be beat.
