Default help with purchase please

The colt delta 10 mm im bidding on just hit 1200$. I can purchase a used dan wesson pointman 10mm for the same...any advice?

Both are great guns. I like the Colt but the DW is a better value if both are LIGHTLY used. You will find that DW is a great pistol. Unfortunately there prices went up a couple of years ago and I'm not sure in my opinion if it was worth it. seems quality went up but I don't think the small bit of quality was worth the 300-400 dollar increase. Still they make a great gun. Colt speaks for itself.

i hope you know that the colt delta elite is still in production.

the newer ones are better guns than the older ones which had galling issues

I would opt for the DW.
I am not too fond of the Colt Series-80 setup and DW does not have it.

OK, yes.......good, no they aren't adjustable.

For competition I'd want a Bomar Style adjustable sight.

Why would you want to competitively shoot a 10mm?

I would think you would want a Gold Cup running light target loads.
