Default Help me spend some money!

I love these kind of threads so I thought I would make my own. I have $1400 to spend on a new gun. Please help me spend it on something. Right now I've been eyeing the Sig STX and Platinum Elite 1911s, but I'm open to suggestions. No 9mm though.

Seen yours on the 1911 forum. Trying to find out what the difference is between the STX and the Platinum Elite other than just looks.

I do like the Dan Weasons, they are just hard to locate. I will check out Volkmann. Have a feeling it might be out of my range.

Now I've found the Sig Platinum Elite Carry which is a commander/mid size that I'm really leaning towards. Oh the choices...

I thought I just about had my new gun from a member on another forum. He responded to my WTB ad with the gun I was asking about, decribed its condition, and set a price. I agreed to the price and asked for photos just to confirm the condition and asked for an address to mail the payment.

The next day, the guy posts and crawfishes on the deal! I've sent him two PMs and haven't received a response. Stuff like that really gets to me. I mean why respond to a WTB ad and quote a price if you're not serious about selling? I just don't understand...

I retract my post out of a need to cloak myself in the 5th Amendment.
