If I had to guess it was one of the Philippine imports that are sold under many different names. If it was a Springer GI Champion I think the OP would notice the Springfield Armory rollmark. The Armscor built guns are common, cheap, and have been imported by a bunch of different brands like Rock Island, Citadel, High Standard, Charles Daly, etc...

Maybe it wasn't made in Brazil...Maybe that was just a figment of my imagination. Thanks for all the help guys, but I think I am just going to give up
