I bought a Sig pistol and I was disappointed it only came with one mag. For the price I paid you'd think they could throw another mag in there.

Personally, I prefer a stainless steel gun. But that is only cosmetic. Buy the gun you like the best. I think you'll be happy with either.

Oh, baby, I just looked them both up. I would go for the Platinum Elite. It's beautiful.

Compare the two because there are differences. Such as the PE is SA/DA, the Nightmare is larger, the Nightmare is heavier, different calibers, etc.

When looking at guns and I am trying to decide, I pull up the specs on two different computer windows and flip back and forth between the two, looking at the differences.

No. I'm comparing the Sig 1911 Platinum Elite to the Sig Fastback Nightmare. Both 1911's and both .45 ACP

I have owned 5 Sigs over the years and currently 4 live at this address: In ascending order of caliber; P238, P239, P226 & 1911 SS Carry. I had a P245 a while back but didn't care for a compact .45.

The 1911 came with 2 magazines while the others came with 1 mag. I figure either of your 1911 choices will come with 2 mags. However, I feed my other 1911 (STI) only Wilson Combat mags and it loves them. Since I just acquired the Sig 1911 SS Carry, I don't have a report on that compatibility yet....but I will soon

So, good luck with your difficult choice, but either will make you smile. And always remember, once you get a 1911 more will follow you home. They are addictive.

I haven't been able to locate any complaints about the sig external extractors , so they must be good to go.

I personally would go with the nightmare. The platinum elite is a bit too flashy for my taste.

I'm so sorry. I misunderstood. Which happens fairly often.

The platinum elite is discontinued so its not like they are running off of production lines anymore. The platinum elite is also from Sig custom shop which mean better fit and finish than your run of the mil Sig 1911. I am not sure of the sights on the Fast Back but the platinum has fully adjustable (elevation and windage) combat night sights. Which are great.
