Gun Show this weekend....hmm...what to buy?
Big show coming up in Fort Worth this weekend. I have about $1,500 to spend. I already own three 1911s:
Nighthawk T3
Kimber Tactical Custom II
Kimber Grand Raptor II
I think I need another 1911. What would you buy if you were me?

Seeing that you've got 3 Nice modern 1911's I would suggest checking out some milsurp 1911's.. Be sure to do some online homework for familierzation on these WWI & WWII beautys if you decide to go this route.

Something in the way of Colt would certainly round out your collection.

All your current 1911s have all the bells & whistles, maybe something more mil-spec would be fun. I just picked up a Springer Mil-Spec and I like it a lot. My Colt Commander is also in this same category...

A Dan Wesson CBOB. Everybody should have one of those.

Thanks, NGIB, I agree and I think I'll take your advice. I'll be sure to look at Dan Wesson also.

At one time all of my 1911s had beavertails and magwells and all sorts of goodies - never had one with a rail though. My Commander (and Mil-Spec) are elegant in a GI sort of way - everything you need in a good 1911 and nothing you don't...

I agree with that. Think I'll go with a Government frame in Mil-Spec since I already have a Commander frame in the T3 and don't see the need for more than one in that size, just my own personal feeling.

Good point, although things seem to be loosening up in that area lately.
