i live by the motto, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

the only 1911 i have that's equipped with a FLGR is my SA Micro Comact 45. came from the factory that way. it works perfectly the way it is. can't see any reason to change anything. when it's time to replace the recoil spring, i will go with the OEM spec spring rate.

years ago i changed a few 1911's ot FLGR's and two piece guide rods. couldn't ever tell any difference in the shooting. to me it seems like a waste of money.

Thanks guys, I think I'll just stick with the current setup I think and leave my precious 1911's alone. They shoot just fine & dandy as-is
