Default Grips and my new Kimber

Well, I love 1911's. That's a given. I think wood/metal are perfect for them - not too keen on polymers.

Since I got my Pro Carry II and put custom wood grips on it, I knew I had to have some wood grips on my new stainless.

I got them from Home Page and absolutely love em. Here are a few pics of the grips and my new 5" stainless.

And with my Pro Carry II...

Wow! That is a very nice contrast there Southern6er. I like the black with the wood contrast. Very nice....

Less than 60 (each).

The guns are a different story.

Next pistol will likely be a Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail with grips by the same guy that did the ones on my Stainless.

Sarge43 is the 'guy' and he has a grip thread right here on FTF:

Sarge makes some of the best grips I've come across anywhere!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

There is one on the 1911 forum as well. That's where I found him. When I get a bobbed 1911, I'll be calling on him again. Also picked up a curio box for my wife along with the grips!
