Grips for 1911
 
Anyone have any experience making a set of grip panels using Camphor burl? I like the looks of it but i dont know very much about this type of wood. Thanks in advance for any responses.

We've got a very experienced 1911 grip-maker around these parts. Unfortunately, I can't recall his exact username, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly. In the meantime, here's his site: The Finer Grain and Sarge's Grips
