Default Good 1911 books?

I'm expanding my library and I'm in dire need of some good recommendations. I want to get some good books on 1911s, history, tinkering, etc. as long as it's well written I'm interested.

What would you gentlemen suggest?

Men love in haste, but they detest at leisure.

I've bought a few over the years and have allways been dissapointed because they are usually so out of date that the methods have been proven wrong or much better ones have taken their place. Also they seem to have a lot of personal opinions rather than facts, and for someone as opinionated as I am, that just doesn't work for me,....LOL.
