That is about as much info as I can give you.
I wanted a Ruger since it was a trustworthy name and cheaper. But I'm well satisfied with the Remington.
I got the same pistol (R1-s stainless) in May for an early birthday present to "self." I had been looking for one ever since they were announced in stainless in January. First one I found, I bought it then and there. The Ruger is a super good looking 1911A1 as well, and if it had been found before the R1-s, I might have it instead. But I really wanted the Remington because it was the first handgun they have produced since the 1911A1 gov. contract in 1913. And the accuracy, fit and finish is super. It is much more accurate for me than my 9 mm Beretta 92g Elite. And more fun to shoot for some reason. My first time to the range at 25 yards I had a 3 inch group. My daughter was hitting ballistic plastic gophers at 30 yards with the first clip. Talk about humbling. She also out shoots me with the Beretta. Younger eyes and steadier hands. That's my story and I am sticking to it. Tb
As an after thought, if I ever find one of those Rugers, it might follow me home as well.
