Yep, I have many handguns and four of them are 1911's. There is just something special about them for me.

As for me, I own a variety of guns, by different makes. Some popular ones, I do not own, but am familiar with.
I carry every day, and the gun I carry is the one I feel (for me) I can get into play quickly, and get on target reliably.
My 1911..
Colt, Cabot.. and maybe a Sig or an SA soon!

I don't know of a single high dollar non 1911 that can hold a candle to a cheap 1911. Sorry...but the 1911 stands in a class all by itself. That is why over 100 years later some of the best shooters in the world insist on shooting them. Case closed.

and probably why it's the most copied design of pistol ever made.

nothing lasts for over 100 years unless it's great. especially in the world of firearms. which there is always something trying to come along and do it better and faster.

yep, the 1911 is in a class of it's own. it's iconic and as American as apple pie and baseball.
