Finally picked up my Colt

After 4 months of looking, and making up my mind, and then 9 weeks of waiting for a Authorization to Purchase, I finally picked up my first
1911. I looked at a lot of 1911’s but when I saw it, the Colt Combat Elite was the last gun I looked at. So far, I’ve only put 250 rounds thru it, but
8 of those were my own “personal best”. I did everything right for the entire magazine (Tripp Cobra, gen. 2) at a distance of 7yds.
The gun ran perfectly for all 250 rounds. I can’t wait to get back to the range this week. (GLW)

Outstanding. Colt and Tripp.

You did it right. Nice looking Combat Elite.

Keep us in the loop.

Congratulation, now it's time to invest in ammo and get your friends and neighbors to the range with you. This is Step 1 in our gun owner liberation movement. Get enough folks shooting "and voting accordingly" and you just might transform the Democratic Peoples Republic of NY BACK in the Big Apple.

Good Luck,

TACK

It's VERY hard to get other people interested in shooting here in NYC. If you don't have a license, you can't even (legally) touch a handgun in a NY gun shop. And getting a license involves at least 4 trips to Police Headquarters in downtown NYC. But I am trying, mostly with my daughter and her friends. All over 21, and some are thinking about it.

Good work and good luck. We constantly hear about all the legislative BS/back and forth in DC but IMHO the most influential thing any of us can do to secure our future rights is to create pro gun voters by introducing fence sitters to our sport.:)

We are all ambassadors for our gun culture.

1. Freakin' nice gun! and nice group.

2. Why 9 weeks of authorization?
