Jealous... I am saving for a SA, but it seems that when I get a few bucks extra my son ends up needing something. He seven months old, I had a job by that age. Why doesn't he?

I have 6 month old daughter, and I'm trying to do the same. I want a SA Champion Operator, but my little girl comes first, then her mom, and then its my turn.

I figure my SA will come around Christmas. As much as I want a TRP, or something along those lines, I am probably going to get a Mil Spec. It will be my first 1911, and it will mainly be a HD gun/range gun until I can get used to a manual safety. All the pistols I have owned to date don't have manual safety. Frankly, a cocked and locked gun should be the only manual safety gun IMO. Other guns come with a safety attached to my hand; its called a responsible trigger finger.
