Any tricks to keeping the barrel link in place when reassembling to get the slide stop back in correctly?

It's fairly a cake maneuver......unless you have the magazine installed. This would give the impression of the link not lining up when in fact, it's lined just fine.

Oh yes!

Im ashamed to say that i done it "one time" the very first time that i cleaned mine. its not as bad as some ive seen, Its there but its hard to see :-(
