I am going to have to revise my thinking when it comes to how .45s feed from mag.,to chamber.
I have always polished my feed ramps because I thought that the cartridge left the mag.,slid up the ramp and into the chamber.
This does not appear to be true,at least not in the case of my Colt. It appears that it is more of a ricochet off the ramp and into the chamber. It also appears that they do not always hit in the same place on the ramp.
I would have been some concerned when I looked at this accept for the fact that this pistol is 100 % reliable,I can not recall the last time the gun had a FTF.
I shot a match yesterday and noticed this when I was cleaning this am. Bullseye powder is kind if dirty,good for tracking.
