E Series

I'm about to buy my first 1911 and I've narrowed it down between the Springfield arms "loaded" and the smith&wesson "e series"... I'm really leaning towards the s&w, anyone have any thoughts or own one themselves?

I have an SA loaded & it has been flawless - love it. But man, an E-series S&W is one nice 1911...
I have yet to even see one in these parts - very hard to come by. That would be a really tough choice for me. I might actually go with the E (but it would come down to options/price and looks).

I'd go with the Springer.

Smith should stick with revolvers! http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/v...s/1_2cents.jpg

I have had an E series SW for about a year. I have been really happy with it. Nice trigger break. I have really just gotten it broken in with about 200 rounds thru it so far. No issues.

The e series is about $350 more but has a little more detail as far as looks goes.. I live in baton rouge Louisiana and one of our local specialty weapons shops just happened to get a few in.. I'm really leaning towards it, especially because they ate kinda rare
