Default Doublestar 1911

Anybody have any experience with the original Doublestar 1911's? I found one used for $399 and I'm wondering if it's worth it or if I should just save up for a full size Kimber.

Looks like I've got the 1911 fever now... sigh.... my wife will not be pleased

Thats a fair price for a used double-star. You can add comfort & function features and still be cheaper than a kimber.

That's a great review and it sounds like a well made pistol. I dislike rails on 1911's, but might put up with one depending on the price of the pistol.

I just checked online for pricing. Buds has them for $1039. For that price, I'll pass, thank you anyway.
