I apreciate his input.

The perfect10 is a nice-looking model; of course, it is a $2,000+ pistol.

To top off the quality issues with the RIA 10 mm. I can get a Glock Gen III for around $600. I really don't see what there is to think about. One can get a proven 10 mm for the same money. I don't like the notion of spending $600 to be a guinea pig.

Hey Robo, we don't agree on every little thing but wouldn't you agree this is the most useless non-informitive factless not to mention pointless reply of the day

Some of us have small hands and a single stack pistol is much more comfortable than shooting something similar to a holding a 2x4 like the Glock. If wanted to buy a 10mm for self or home defense, by all means I would go with a proven system like the Glock. But in my instance, a RIA 10mm would just be another range toy so I don't care so much.

Armscor is known for their great customer service, so I'm sure if some shot their 10mm enough to crack the frame a call to Armscor would correct the issue with a new pistol most likely. I think if someone shoots one enough to crack the frame, they've certainly gotten $600 worth of use and enjoyment out of the gun.

I don't think anyone is recommending the RIA 10 as a viable option for self/home defense at this point so the RIA vs Glock scenario is really a non-issue.

If you're deciding, better do it quick. The ones at CTD are the only ones that will be available until after SHOT in January. Then everybody and their brother will be after one.

Man, Its so annoying to keep reading about the Colt Delta Elite blowing up, frame cracking, disintegrating, causing homelessness, initiating terrorism, etc. All BS. Due to the hot Norma loads put through the gun back when they were first made, the early models cracked above the slide stop hole. This didn't affect function and Colt solved the problem by machining out the metal in that area. I have a very early blued Delta that was post-fix and Iv'e shot 220 grain hot Buffalo Bore ammo, Double Tap, and Winchester Silver Tips through it. And it's a gorgeous, 20+ year old gun and anyone would be lucky to own one if you can find it at a decent price. And I also have a Glock 20, which I also love. I love the 10mm round, and keeping one in my truck for defense makes me feel good. Especially knowing if I have to pump rounds through a door or a windshield, I can do that. Nothing against the .45 ACP, because it is a man-stopper, and the virtue of the round is the fact that it's subsonic and so damn big, and I wouldn't hesitate to use it for defense. But, when you really, truly wanna bust a would be attacker's ass, It's hard to beat the big 10. And the Delta certainly isn't a bad gun for any round you'd wanna put through it. Man, nothing brings out sheer ignorance like a gun debate.
