Did Anyone Get The RIA 10mm?
They are listed on Cheaper Than Dirts website for $599. I believe they got the first run and should still have one or two left.
I came really close to paying retail for one, but decided to wait until I can get one cheaper from a distributor. But $600 for a 10mm with a fiber optic front sight and adjustable rear is a pretty good deal. Barrel is a bushing-less bull barrel.

I posted a thread before Thanksgiving letting the membership know to be on the lookout. I've seen a couple reviews and range reports on other forums already. I haven't quite made up my mind yet.

I was really close to buying one decided against it though. Nothing against RIA, the one I had was a 45 and it was great. The 10mm looks much nicer than the one I had.
I really want the SA Ruger in 41 mag. Or the model 60 SW in 357.
I can't have them all and glad I waited. Would like to hear from someone who did buy one, like the OP previously stated.

The RIA 1911's have cast frames. The 10mm beat the hell out of the Colt Delta Elite FORGED frames. I do not think it would be the best idea unless you only plan on shooting a couple of boxes of ammo a year (and "subsonic" ammo at that).
Right now there are only 2 10mm pistols in production I would trust, Glock and STI.

Does STI only make one model in 10mm? The G20 has a very big grip compared to my G35.

I believe the "Perfect 10" is their only offering, but it is BAD ASS. A G-20 SF is noficably smaller than the G-20

The first Delta Elites had a few problems with the 10mm.
But it seems that others have worked them out. I am pleased with my 10mm Dan Wesson.
I would like to see a range report on an RIA after 5000 factory rounds.

Nothing like giving pure opinions - and ambiguous ones at that, "best idea" etc ?? - based on nothing. Or did you have a dream in which Rock Island's were made partially of marshmallows?
We should put a lot of stock in "what you trust" - based on nothing, no criteria.. Right?

This is a forum; opinions are a valued resource, especially opinions of those with experience in the area being discussed. Robo is more familiar with the 10mm (in a couple of different pistols, IIRC) and with reloading/ammo specs than many of us on the forum.
I apreciate his input.
The Perfect10 is a nice-looking model; of course, it is a $2,000+ pistol.
