Dan Wesson Guardian first time out and help with magazines.

So I took out my new Guardian 9mm to the range the other day. I brought with me 200 rounds of blazer brass. It is truly a pleasure to shoot and was silly accurate. I experienced an almost flawless range day besides two problems. I had two failure to feeds. The nose of the first round of the magazine would hit the ramp and not chamber but ONLY on the first round. I believe it is the checkmate magazine that came with it. The other problem comes after the first round is chambered. What happens is, the first round is chambered and the second round will be half way out of the magazine. I discovered this when I attempted to eject the magazine after chambering the first round only to find out I had to yank it out (and the second round was stripped from the magazine). I need new magazines and was wondering if there is anyone with a guardian or checkmate mags with a similar problem. Does anyone know of some solid 9mm 1911 magazines that may resolve my issue? I want a flush fitting base plate.

I would really appreciate your help,

Getem

Tripp research. They have a web sight. I have a guardian and absolutely no problems with these mags. I shoot IDPA with mine. Great gun. Wish I could find a pointman 9.

Identify which mags are giving you problem for sure.
I will number the mags with a permanent marker.
Should problems arise (number 5 mag, for example), then I know which needs work or replacement.

Both do the second problem every time.

I really like the Wilson Combat mags. The 1911 9mm mag is model 500.9. It is a 10rd mag.
