Dan Wesson 1911
Does anyone have any complaints about Dan Wesson? I'm seriously considering the Valor Vbob for my first 1911. Any help with my decision would be great.

There have probably been some complaints. However I would guess they are few & far between.
DW builds a very good pistol. I have two DW 1911s (no VBOBs), they are both excellent. Of the "off the rack 1911s," it doesn't get much better than DW.
FWIW, their customer service guy (Keith), is quite helpful. He helped me through some issues on my used (and out of warranty) PM7-40.

DW makes a great pistol. They had a few problems for a little while then CZ bought them and quality came back. The only problem was the price went up, but you always pay for quality. CS is good and and the guns run like scalded dogs. Buy with confidence.

DW is one of the few "high end" 1911's that i really can't recall hearing any real complaints about
Never been able to afford such so no hands on advice -

I've had nothing but good reports from what has been through here.
I have a C-BOB in 10mm, and love the thing.

I have the Guardian in 9mm. Shoot IDPA with it and love it. I've never had a problem.

I wasnt sure if CZ only upped the price or if they actually did anything positive for Dan Wesson.

1911's... I have Colts, Sigs, Kimbers, and Dan Wessons... MY preference is the Dan Wessons.. better workmanship, no tool marks, and better fit. Call it luck or whatever, but I've had no function issues out of any of my 1911's. My favorites are still the CBOB, and the VBOB.
Personal preference... be glad you have a choice.

Speaking of DW has anyone heard of Fusion Firearms. Are they DW quality?
