Default Customizing the Colt Compact 1991A1

My project on the Compact is complete. Bob Cogan(APW) did the hard chrome and the sights, I did the rest. I am in no way a pistolsmith, but I think this little Colt built up kinda nice. It shoots like a rail and I love it:

Before:

WIP before sights and finishing:

And finished:

What did you do to refinish it?

That's a beauty. Very nice, good work.

Now that's some nice work. How long did it take you to complete the work on the gun?

Great job!
I like ugly black guns,( I have a 1991 compact too) but I still think that is a good looking gun!

Hello Matt,

As I stated in the OP, I dropped off the pistol to Bob Cogan, Accurate Arms and Weaponry. He is about 2 hours south of me here in Alabama. Bob hard chromed the pistol and installed the sights for me, all other work was done at home...

regards,
Steve

My end of the project was about one week. Bob Cogan had the pistol for about 5 weeks, coating and sights.
