Convertible 1911?
Okay, I have one of those SS Taurus' in .38 Super. In my parts, I've found a Colt 9mm barrel.
Thinking of fitting 9mm to the Taurus. Then I can shoot 9mm and .38 Super from the same platform.
Opinions?

I'm no expert but IIRC
You may have to change extractors when you change barrels since the 38 super is a semi-rimmed cartridge
Or maybe go with an Aftec extractor which SHOULD work with both rimless 38 Super Comp brass in the 38 super barrel and the 9mm in the 9mm barrel
Aftec Extractor

.38Super and 9mm are very close. Some even sell slides listed as .38Super/9mm. Breech face is the same. Of course I have springs.
Extractor holds both 9mm and .38 Super. And the 9mm barrel needs just a little touching to fit.

Targa tops leak. I've seen it on firebirds.
