Default Commander size 1911

Hello all-
I've been searching for a commander size 1911 for quite some time and was fortunate enough to find a brand spanking new Dan Wesson CBOB.
After a very long 10 day waiting period, I was able to bring her home today.
Fit and finish is outstanding.
I just cleaned it up. Can't wait to shoot it.

Pics... (Sorry for the poor photo quality)

Ps: does anyone know the name/ brand of the lube that ships with Dan Wesson 1911's.
I used it for the 1st time and it seems to be good stuff !

Congrats! Beautiful gun! I've got a VBOB that I couldn't be happier with, hope you have the same experience! As for the oil, I'm fairly sure it's FP-10 that ships with all Dan Wesson firearms.

That is a sweet looking piece. I really like that angled grip.

Nice. I so want a Dan Wesson, but there is no budget for one right now. Too busy saving up for a scope for the new rifle, BUT there are two Dan Wesson Pointman 9s at the LGS. And I am weak.

Congrats on the CBOB. I love mine also. No way I'd ever consider selling. I'm sure you'll have a blast with it.

Thanks all.

I'm hoping to hit the range sometime this weekend. Range report coming up soon!

By the way, I spoke with one of the technical reps at Dan Wesson today. The little package of lube provided with the pistol is their special blend. The oil / lube is a littler thicker than fp-10.
I used it last night on my kimber and it made the slide extremely smooth. Seems like a decent product.

A bottle of 4 oz lube and a 3 oz bottle of a protectant ( their special blend) is only $10. The $9 shipping cost was a bit overkill !!!

Best,

Ara

Nice purchase. I have one in 10mm.
(Take a look at how much it looks like Ed Brown's Kobra Carry).

Change the springs at regular intervals, and that should last til your greatgrandkids!
