Working for a living sucks... lol!
Seriously though, I couldn't even imagine throwing my Tauri away. I know they aren't "Tier One", but come on... I think there was a time when people talking like that (tossing $1k in hardware around, lighting their cigars with $100 bills, using slaves as ottomans, etc.) was cool. But that was high school.
Ah, The "IROC-Z Days"...

Ok that makes sense why you want a short frame. I have never shot a short barreled sig but there governments are great i can't exactly look up your link right now because im using the app. Since you are looking for carry i see no sense in a railed 1911. Look at colts defender, i talk sig up but that defender is a very nice package...itll be a little cheaper than a sig as well

You buy an alloy gun to carry, you buy a steel gun to shoot.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

it is rather cute that someone would consider a $900-1100 pistol a throw-away! i guess some just have more money than sense!

Sig makes some really nice pistols, just that i am a more traditional 1911 sort of person. Kimber, makes some really nice looking pistols, but until they increase the warranty period and lower the price, not happening. so out of the three choices, the Colt would be the hands down favorite for me!

Maybe something like this...
Every time I come across a picture of canebrake's Wiley clapp I drool, but this Dan Wesson is off the chart! Beautiful grips! Very nice 1911 you have there

I don't mind the defender. What do you guys carry? I'm trying to wade through the 1911 world and its hard because there are so damn many options. I'm a big guy so I'm not necessarily worried about weight I might even be ok with a full frame gun because concealing it probably won't be that much of an issue. I just can't seem to find "the one" no matter how many I look at. I do keep going back to DW guardian in .45acp though. Its a nice looking gun. Im guessing ill have to go shoot and clear my mind. Lol
