DW isn't a semi-custom or custom. They offer a standard line of pistols. No special order option lists like Wilson or the others. Very high quality, but standard production. If you look, some of their prices are actually fairly competitive. Check out the Heritage or the RZ10 Razorback.

I personally like the v-bob or the guardian. But I guess then again I'm in the market for a carry gun.

Will do. Thanks for the tip. So what is the deal with the aluminum frames? I understand to cut weight but isn't that giving up some durability to lose a few ounces. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Doubtful that you'd ever wear out the frame in your lifetime. But I'm sure if you shot thousands and thousands of rounds a year through your gun, you'd have other worn out parts first.

Dont go light wieght shooting 45, youll hurt yourself. The 1911 was ment to be heavy.

I like a heavy gun anyways it just feels more secure. At the very least I'm more confident with a heavier gun

You'd throw away a Sig? A $900 pistol is "throwaway"? I can't tell if that's hyperbole, idiocy, or just outright snobbery. Maybe it's just getting late for me...
