No prob. the good thing is i just learned to add pic" been trying for months at FCC forms, but i got it nownot the best with PC 1 finger typer here. right now i only have a Colt model 1903 & a german pp on there now.going to add them here and take pic of other's today

Not that I have a lot hardware I want more, and feel my collection is small compared to what I see in these forms, my trouble is I wish I could sell some to get others but I still have my collection off hot wheel to, I have trouble letting go
Hell you should see my back yard. Fathers fault gave me my first 1911 when I was 10, an Ithaca that get treated better then my old lady SHHHH

man I hope I dont upset anyone, but Rock Island makes a real nice double stack 1911, which from the owners I've met, and the few I have talked to , it rivals a Para anyday. OH and about half the price- Well under $1000 Not a recommendation just FYI.

But if you are just fixed on a Kimber or a COlt, I had a Colt Delta Elite 10mm until I got sick of hunting down ammo, and paying thru the nose for it, I now CARRY a Taurus pt1911, but I dare not compare a Taurus to Colt or Kimber Here, But I really liked my Colt. It worked well, I think the Kimbers are a no brainer its just finding one that fits your budget. and for 1000 or less, you may want to hit "craigs list" or the one for gun enthusiests- www.gunsamerica.com- good luck in your quest!

If you are going to carry, get a Light Weight Commander:

........^ Model O4860XSE

Colt's XSE

If you are going to just shoot, pick a Colt's Gold Cup Trophy.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

I seen so much Colt Fanboy crap in the last few months that I am ready to say:

I hate seeing that God damn graphic in every 1911 thread....

I agree with this, but the OP asked which 1911.

So, my answer is COLT.

nice-piece-.jpg

Here ya go man, no Colts. Just my Taurus. and to think, all that for less than 1000, and personally I'll take the pepsi challenge with most any colt or kimber.

Not sure how she would do against glocks. I never tried to shoot this one underwater, nor have I droped it off a building and shot it, buuut...
