After that, when I release the trigger it "clicks" like it's resetting and will fire fine.

This only happens when I cycle the slide by hand. If I thumb the hammer down without cycling the trigger depresses fine. If I'm actually shooting and not just dry firing it runs perfect after the first round.

Neither of my other Colts or any of my other 1911s do this. Any ideas what the culprit may be here?
Is the, trigger adjustable is so you may need to play with it a little

That would have certainly been the smart thing to do, but with my XDs currently on vacation, I just didn't want to hassle with sending another gun out for repair. All is good now though, so it must have been something minor.

When you get your xds back contact colt. Colt is one of the few companies I hope something is wrong when I buy new. Colt repairs go to the shop and come back better than new... heh.
