Default Colt new agent vs. defender

Guys I need a new ccw and am lookin at both of these. The more I read, the more I'm concerned about trusting my life to a 3" 1911 .45 acp. Anyone have any experience with jams or extractor problems?

my new agent has 1500 rounds through it no failures.

it even feeds empty cases from the magazine.

the defender/new agent is about as 100% as a handgun can be made to be

Nice. Thanks. I've read a lot about the defenders having certain extractor issues, amongst other things. Hope those don't carry over to new agent, as that's the one I'm leaning towards. How ya like the different trough sighting system?

I bought a new agent used about a year ago. Put about 1500 rounds flawlessly through it, then sold it. I liked it a lot, but impulsively purchased it. When my wife put that vacation bug in my ear I sold it to take a little time away. The things we do for love....

i wish my series 70 had a trench sight. its very fast and easy once you get a few rounds through it. for sd use i think its one of the better designs.

never heard of the defender having extracor problems. quite a few members here have new agents and defenders

A bit dated but a good read.

Xavier Thoughts: The New Agent versus The DefenderI like the Defender, but then I'm kinda partial.

I like the Defender......but then I'm kinda partial.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
