Default Colt conversion

A friend of mine has a colt .38 super with the .22 conversion kit. It is missing the guide rod and spring to make it work. I shoot a GSG and know that the slides are extremely different in weight. Where could I get them? Also for mags he could use the same style as the kimber conversions correct?

Ya know for the cash you'd spent rounding up the parts and then the effort to get it running I'd go here;
