That's like asking what Chevy should I buy...what are you looking to do with it...range, SD, safe queen, BBQ gun, competition? If you are just looking for the best Colt money can buy then a Gold Cup is the answer.

I like the 1991 series, especially for the price.
A trigger change and they look almost identical to the old 1911A1s.

If for carry, one of their lightweights. Especially, one of their CCOs if you can find one.

The Gold Cup is a great gun. I absolutely love mine.
