One can never do wrong with a "classic"
(I get more looks, oohs, and aahs with my Triumph bike at gas station than my HD bretheren.)

Received Colt 1911 Light Weight Commander, Wiley Clapp for Christmas. Accurate, reliable, light weight and it is a Colt (1911-2011).
$1,100 from local gun shop in GA.

I think that colt is overpriced.
** snot bubble **

Why are you selling the kimber. Was it over priced?

Get a Colt Gold Cup, you will be happy.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

The Kimber is Loaded with custom features, machined from the best materials and delivering the highest performance standard ever seen in a production 1911.
Kimber shook up the market and restored the popularity of this classic American pistol.
Innovation in manufacturing has played a huge part in Kimber’s success. Kimber pioneered in the Metal Injection Molding (MIM) process in gun making world. Even the small parts like the slide release, thumb safety and sights are made by this method. MIM parts are far superior to castings used by other manufacturers, and essentially have the strength of those machined from steel.
The law enforcement officers around the country, including elite units as LAPD™ SWAT, carry Kimber. Even military units with the option to chose pistols that can actually do the job trust Kimber with their lives.
American shooters have made Kimber the bestselling brand of 1911 by a huge margin.
The Stainless II is is a full-size pistol with a 5-inch barrel, beveled front and rear slide serrations, and lowered and flared ejection port.
Compare a Kimber with any other brand of 1911 – or any other type of semi-automatic pistol. See for yourself why Kimber is number one.

I almost choked. Is this propaganda taken word for word from their website?

Ughhh...
Kimber has their fans, Colt has theirs. The OP has been presented with info and opinions from both camps.
