look at the ejection port. it's flared and lowered. to the best of my recollection, none of the early military 1911A1's had that type port. those were much, much later.

i too suspect the only original part is the frame as well. it's a parts gun, so any historical value has been long lost years ago.

it would be cool to own and to shoot, but no way would i pay $800 for it.

I worked a deal for my son to get a 1918 (correct) Colt for $800.00......

I would buy it for $450.00 - $500.00 as a shooter though, but I don't collect.
