COLT 1911 Series

I have finally decided to go with a Colt. Now I have to decide on the model. I am looking to spend anywhere from $800-$1300.

It sounds like you're a Single Action Army also called a Peacemaker if you want updated or modern would be maybe a Ruger?

Ah ok so you're not looking for a cowboy gun.
If you search around you might be able to find a military issued colt in that range. Or are you looking for a new model?

bearrwe 08-23-2012 05:42 PM

I guess I'm still confused, are you looking for a cowboy type revolver or a 1911?

6shootersandw 08-23-2012 05:46 PM

I am looking for a new 1911

I was thinking maybe a Mark IV series 70

Colts are good and Ive worked on a lot of them over the years, but haven't had much to do with a Colt Mod 70 in years. I would think Canebrake would probably have the most info for you.
