Down here (South FL), a carry gun needs to be SS.

I like them both but carry SS.

Since I posted this thread, I have bought a Ruger SR1911, Colt XSE, and a Colt Trophy Gold Cup. My wife said enough???

I got the Ruger in yesterday. Out of the box, the gun is very tight. It is a very pretty gun, just hope it shoots as good as it looks.
